They are having a tea reception at the Anthea Ballroom in Snohomish and they wanted a modern/victorian feel to their invites. They had very strict rules for keeping the guest list to a minimum, so we created tickets to hand out for admission to the ceremony and reception.

Each year, I like to throw a special party for myself and my bestie (who shares the same birthday). This year we hope to go all out with dessert! Sadly, I have to admit to keeping a folder of stunning AND delicious looking treats, partially because they’re pretty, but mostly because I dream of eating them. I wonder though, with the group of lovely desserts I’m about to show you, how can you eat such a beautiful piece of artwork?! Perhaps my struggle will keep me from overindulging?

I get to mix and match pretty colors, draw cute little pictures, and pull out the fun ideas I’ve had sitting in my sketch book (THAT NO ONE WANTS) and bring them to life! I think this is my most favorite invitation so far (that has been selected to be sold on indigoprints.com).

I’ve been helping my friend Dianne with her presentation for catering events. She’s a dessert caterer in the Seattle area and I just love all the beautiful colors and shapes that come along with a dessert display! Of which inspired this piece…

Besides that, I’ve been recently informed that one of the designs that I had submitted into Minted.com’s Happily Ever After Wedding Challenge has been chosen as an Editor’s Pick! WOOP! I really wasn’t expecting any of my designs to win to be honest. The competition is steep, full of such amazing designs and designers. With that said, I am truly honored that my work will be seen among the greatest indie designers out there. Here’s my winning design, Monogram Hankie. I look forward to sharing the full invitation suite with you when it’s done.

I’m also working on an amazing logo that I can’t wait to show you all and a full website design that I’m hoping will be ready here soon. Other than that, I have plenty of work lined up for the new year already! Lots of wedding invites too. What a blessed year this has been for me. I thank God everyday that my work is my passion and I love what I do.
